Your wedding is really about you… however, since the entertainment you will choose for your wedding will likely have a dramatic impact on the overall success of your once-in-a-lifetime celebration, I will gladly share with you just a little bit about my history and entertainment background.

For as long as I can remember I have had a passion for music, and not just as a music connoisseur, but an intense desire to understand on a deeper level how music can be used to create a variety of different moods and atmospheres.

This desire grew and expanded into the arts and stage production and throughout my years in school, drama and theater was a huge part of my life. I absolutely loved performing and being on stage, but loved equally all of the technical aspects behind the production that quietly in the background brought the performance to life.

By the time I had reached my early teens I had already set my focus upon becoming a mobile disc jockey and owning my own company. But I wanted to do much more than what seemed to be very typical at the time... I wanted to add a more theater like experience to my performances.

In 1988 I was able to secure a bank loan large enough to purchase the professional equipment that I needed to begin a professional entertainment career. I put my time in and gained experience from doing hundreds of events of all shapes and sizes from school dances, nightclubs, bars, and of course… Weddings!

Weddings became my passion and it is where I feel that I am needed the most. In 2006 I made the decision to focus my attention exclusively on weddings and changed my business name to Weddings of Distinction. This decision came about in part because weddings allow my entertainment creativity to flourish, and partly due to the horror stories that I have heard over the years from brides and grooms who have had a bad experience with a DJ at their wedding.

Wedding entertainment seemed to be adopting the cookie-cutter approach with a very typical, one size fits all type of generic performance, and I felt that there was a need for something remarkable, and perhaps a little less predictable. I began using all of the different styles and techniques that I learned over the years to create a more personalized fun filled event designed to build a connection between the bride and groom and their guests.

Instead of doing typical, I enjoy finding ways to help each bride and groom add their own unique twist to traditional events. And because I want my brides and grooms to enjoy their special day, I handle and direct those reception details that might otherwise cause them stress.

As an entertainer Walt Disney has been my idol and mentor and I have always appreciated his ability to create magic. Walt Disney was ahead of his time and knew something that most entertainers seemed to miss, and that is that magic is contained in the little details. I have adopted that approach and focus my attention where I feel most other disc jockeys and entertainers have greatly overlooked… those little details! Those little details have become my niche.

The reactions, comments, and thank you letters that I have received from brides and grooms and their guests have encouraged me to continue on that path and strive to make each event better than the last one.

I've learned that by working closely together with each bride and groom that we develop a friendship that helps me to understand exactly what magic means to them. And that is the secret to creating a personalized entertainment experience that they and their guests will never forget. It is an honor and a privilege to play such a special role in what is to be one of the most important days of their life together.
